Sweet,Great Story : Carrots, Eggs, and Coffee Beans

This story was taken from my bahasa midterm exam, translated by me, with slight different arrangement.
“CARROTS, EGG, AND COFFEE BEAN”
Α little girl were complaining about her difficult life to his father. Confused and didn’t know what to do anymore, she fell exhausted, and was thinking about giving up. In her life, problems always come one after another.
Her father, who was a chef brought her into the kitchen. He took 3 pans and filled them with water. After that he boiled the water and put carrots, eggs, and coffee beans in each pans without saying anything.
The daughter remained silence and waited impatiently. She was astonished with what her father did. After waiting for approximately 20 minutes, her father finally turned off the stove. He put the carrot in one bowl, and the eggs in the other one. He also pour the coffee into a cup.
Then, he asked his daughter, “What do you see, dear?”
“Carrots, eggs, and coffee,” she replied.
After that, his father ask her to touch the carrot, break the egg, and smell the coffee. How surprising, when she touched the carrot, it felt so soft, and when she removed the egg shell, the egg has been solid. Α smile carved on her face when she smelled the coffee since it has a really nice fragrant. She asked her father humbly, “What does that mean, Father?”
Her father explained, “They have been suffering under the same conditions, which is the boiled water, yet the result are different for each other. Carrots which was rough at first, after facing a problem, they become soft, weak. Eggs which was so gentle formerly, when getting into problems, suffering, death, and sorrow, they become unyielding. But Coffee Beans are unique. When they were boiled and reached the maximum, boiling points, 373 Kelvin degrees, coffee beans turned plain water into one delicious beverage instead. They can turn around the situation into the better one. Which one are you, honey? Carrot, egg, or coffee bean?”

This story is so deep, it has a thoughtful and serious meaning. I was crying secretly when I read it this morning. It was like God gave me the answer for my problems, like He spoke to me through this story. I felt an invisible slap. God is near, He is with me all the time, but I just don’t realize, He raise me up when I’m down, He help me when I fall. Countless time I have broken his heart, but He never leave me, and forgive me with tender and love..I fell ashamed..for hurting Him over and over again..I’m sorry…
Please teach me how to love You, Jesus, with all my heart :)
